Where It All Began

washmobilityeo was founded in 2018 by master barber James Wellington, who saw a gap in Wellington's grooming scene for a space that honored traditional barbering while embracing modern style and techniques.

After spending fifteen years perfecting his craft in London, New York, and Sydney, James returned to his hometown with a vision: to create a sanctuary for men that combines impeccable service, traditional techniques, and contemporary aesthetics.

The name "washmobilityeo" draws inspiration from the Latin words "torno" (to shape with precision) and "exilis" (refined, elegant) – embodying our philosophy of precise craftsmanship and refined results.

Our 115 Lambton Quay location was carefully chosen and meticulously designed to create a space that balances masculine energy with refined comfort. Rich leather, aged wood, and subtle industrial touches create an atmosphere where men can relax and be themselves.

The custom-built barber stations feature Italian-made chairs, and our waiting area includes a carefully curated selection of reading material and complimentary beverages. Every aspect of the space has been considered to enhance your experience.
